Product Development Manager Opportunity

ServingIntel, a leading provider of point-of-sale transaction management systems for the Senior Living and hospitality industries, is seeking a unique individual with product management and product development experience who is ready to take the next step as Product Development Manager. This role provides the enviable position of directly impacting the strategic transformation of ServingIntel into the leader in Senior Living transaction management by advancing the commercialization of strategic software products to grow reoccurring revenue.

Product Development Manager I

The Product Development Manager I role requires an individual with a strong technical background who excels at customer-centric product design and has a knack for rallying teams of engineers and designers to build and deliver amazing software and hardware experiences. You will work as a facilitator of commercial product implementations and new product development by collaborating with our Partners, the Software Development team, and the Operations & Customer Service team. You will be adept at both working on customer problems in a metrics-driven environment as well as acting as an evangelist for your managed products. This role will be critical to accomplishing ServingIntel’s aggressive growth objectives through new software product development all while ensuring fulfillment of Partner’s expectations and business and operational goals for a timely and reliable implementation while maintaining the high-quality standards and the integrity of ServingIntel. The compensation package includes an annual salary in addition to long term equity appreciation through participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and potential performance-based quarterly bonuses. This virtual position includes the requirement to collaborate across the Software Development team and Partner time zones as required to support installations and programming issue resolution. The Product Development Manager I will report to the Chief Technology Officer.

Responsibilities:

      • Own the new product development process and collaborate with all functional leaders and teams to manage all stages of new product development.
      • Contribute to scoping and definition of new product development initiatives and custom products while ensuring delivery according to the defined functionality specifications within the committed timeline.
      • Understand business requirements and success metrics for the product(s) as well as communicate product vision and priorities.
      • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of software engineers, designers, marketing, and personal research to build amazing experiences for our partners and our partner’s customers alike.
      • Drive research, create wireframe designs, perform testing, collect and share data metrics & transactional analysis throughout the entire product development life cycle – from research to specification creation and prototyping to measuring beta and commercialization success while working closely with the Strategic Product Specialist(s) to allow for informed decisions on your product(s) success.
      • Lead business case development for product development steering team to approve product commercialization.
      • Discern our partners and our partner’s customers pain points, assist in defining solutions, and bring solutions to life through our product development process.

Basic Qualifications:

      • Technically savvy with a minimum of three years’ experience working with development engineers and designers to craft usable products & experiences, preferably in the hospitality POS industry.
      • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams; as well as ConnectWise CRM and the Jira Software Development Management application.
      • Demonstrated critical thinking and technical troubleshooting skills
      • Strong communication skills and experience in handling input from all internal and external stakeholders.
      • Highly experienced in managing customer relationships and expectations.
      • Exceptional personal attributes that include being self-directed, high energy, and high accountability while maintaining a positive attitude, serving orientation, and ability to moderate conflict.
      • Strong organization and coordination skills.
      • Expert level process orientation with advanced ability to create organization and structure out of ambiguity.
      • Process leadership experience with a natural ability to collaborate and bridge diverse perspectives.
      • Availability for periodic evening and weekend hours.
